Artist at play

Ken Robinson once said “Never underestimate the vital importance of finding early in life the work that for you is play.”
Play for me is about imagination and creativity, it’s about looking with a sense of wonder and possibility. It’s about abstraction: the process of reimagining and reshaping the world we see and discovering new possibilities and ideas…and perhaps having some fun in the process.

I am currently playing with a series of illustrations that use found objects: ordinary, everyday items that you would find in or around the home. Just add a few simple lines, tweak the perspective, throw in a little whimsy and they become something other…
